CO-FOUNDER
Edmund and Enoch met as classmates at interior design school in Malaysia. After graduating, they took different paths through the industry, from established design firms and Singapore studios to property developers and shipyards.
In 2005 they brought that experience together to start ES Studio, with one goal: high-quality, client-focused interior design that is practical to build and kind to the budget. In 2010 the company became ES Studio Sdn Bhd.
EDMUND TING
Edmund began his career in 2000 as an assistant interior designer at Portland Arena Sdn Bhd. He went on to Perniagaan & Perhiasan Esuta and City Home Design & Contract Sdn Bhd, rising from site supervisor to senior interior designer on hotels and show houses while handling costing, quotations and procurement. He later led show house development and interior design management as ID Manager at Renewed Development Sdn Bhd. Today he leads ES Studio’s projects.
ENOCH YAW
Enoch started his career in Singapore, specialising in Italian classical design. He then moved into shipbuilding as a project engineer, designing and building marine crew accommodation. Back in Johor Bahru, he took senior roles with a major property developer on commercial, retail and office developments, including shopping mall fit-outs. Today he leads design consultancy, project management and procurement.
HOW WE WORK
We get to know your space, lifestyle or business, budget and timeline, so the design starts with what matters to you.
We review layout ideas, materials and an itemised quotation together, agreeing on a clear direction before moving ahead.
Our designers develop space plans, 3D visuals and detailed drawings, refining layouts and finishes with you before renovation begins.
Our team coordinates renovation, built-in carpentry and finishing works, keeping you updated through to the final walkthrough and handover.
CONTACT
Tell us about your space, timeline and budget. Our designers will get back to you. Visits to our Skudai studio are by appointment.
